The Gates Stand Shut

As flowers on which to step are these human feelings
As love unreturned is the call for reason

The hate to love secular life
And the passion for its destruction
A devotee's morbid essence
And the purpose for desecration

Speak no word as you understand none either
Live to die and die to live
This passion will subdue no longer

What is there to see when the lids are sealed shut
What is there to see with eyes staring but ahead

If I could show the way
Would the dogmas make way for the soul
If the gates stood open before your eyes
Would you dare enter oblivion

Voice of wisdom and knowledge
Silent to the ears of ignorance
His word is only heard in shadows
Where tyranny reigns

Show me your will - It shall possess me
Give me your word - It will command me
Reveal me your truth - It shall guide me
Unleash your might - And release me
