Cast into an estranged world, the populace cursed by disease
A plague of infection and rot, worldwide mutation of the species

Foreign elements invade the body, first breath a choking glimpse of life
Disease overpowers all defenses, man must evolve to survive

Clinging to ancient beliefs, lack of change killed forefathers
Species weakened by disease, never learning from past mistakes

Every generation becomes more feeble, rate of acceleration irreversible
Stranded in time no thought of the future, stagnation begins with the mind

Life expectancy of a human is decades less than a century
We are cursed by an inconceivable mark -
The mark of malignance

Rotting from within, blood carries the decay
To the outer extensions, limbs become infected
Newly discovered remedies bring little comfort
Mutation of the disease new form of malignancy

Body parts line the streets, gutters fill with disease
Pollution of water supplies, topsoil lined with decay

Loss of hope, dreams become shattered
Number of living cut by suicide, in the final hours of mankind
Living produce records, of accomplishments
In attempts to dignify the pitiful and feeble existence of mankind
