But that we are obligated to get an assurance of salvation
Pero hay una diferencia entre la verdadera seguridad y la falsa seguridad
But there's a difference between true assurance and false assurance
Mucha gente piensa que todo lo que tienes que hacer para entrar en el Reino de Dios
A lot of people think that all you have to do to get in the Kingdom of God
Es levantar la mano en una reunión de avivamiento y caminar por el pasillo
Is to raise your hand at a revival meeting and walk down the aisle
O decir la oración del pecador y hacer una profesión de fe
Or say the sinner's prayer and make a profession of faith
Nadie fue salvado por una profesión de fe
Nobody was ever saved by a profession of faith
Se supone que debemos hacer una profesión de fe
We're supposed to make a profession of faith
Pero esa profesión no nos lleva a ninguna parte, tenemos que tenerla
But that profession doesn't get us anywhere, we have to have it
Y cuando le hago la pregunta a una persona, ¿amas a Cristo perfectamente?
And when I ask the question to a person 'do you love Christ perfectly?
Sólo he tenido un par de personas que me dicen que sí lo hicieron
I've only had a couple of people say to me that yeah they did
La mayoría de la gente dice que no. No aman a Cristo perfectamente
Most people say no they don't love Christ perfectly
La segunda pregunta es «¿Le amas tanto como deberías?
Second question is 'Do you love Him as much as you ought to?
Bueno, debemos amarlo perfectamente
Well, we ought to love Him perfectly
Si no lo amamos perfectamente entonces obviamente no lo amamos
If we don't love Him perfectly then we obviously don't love Him
Tanto como debamos, y si no amo tanto a Cristo
As much as we ought to, and if I don't love Christ as much

As I know I should, that casts a certain power of doubt over my assurance

And that's why I get to the third question that you've already referred to

A heart that has affection for Him?
